2002 Alpina B10 V8S

Let’s start with the stunning Techno Violet paintwork shall we (the photos simply don't do this colour justice), before even getting into the car you’ll know it is special by the vibrant individual hue, add to that the Alpina Softline alloys, rear lip spoiler and front chin spoiler and that’s for the uninitiated. On closer inspection the B10 V8S badges on the doors are a subtle giveaway of the car’s potential! Then you’ll notice the massive Brembo brakes up front, upgraded from even the standard B10 V8, this car means business.

 

Being one of only 42 RHD S models in the world, it is quite a rare beast, however it is the ONLY one in this colour, so if it’s exclusivity you’re after (and it normally is choosing an Alpina over an M car), this may just be the ultimate car for you.

 

Step into the beautifully custom-built cabin and fire the 4.8 litre V8 up and you’ll instantly know that Alpina’s intention was a refined brutality! A very deep bass rumble is emitted from the factory Alpina tail pipes. The first thing you’ll notice is just how smooth the Alpina suspension is on these cars, BMW did a great job with the e39, Alpina made them even better! With torque in abundance the car wafts up to speed with ease and in a manner frankly unheard of in that era, I’d put it on par with an F10 M5, being generations newer!

 

On the road the car is tight, buttery smooth and responsive and drives as well as you could expect for such a well appointed and cared for example. It has come from long term Alpina club ownership and has an extensive history file, with a lot of recent expenditure, including an engine rebuild last year. It even had a new block from Alpina at a cost of £8,000.00! It was subsequently built by marque specialists BMR performance. No expense has been spared in making sure that this rare gem has been kept as well as physically possible, having also had the sills addressed, gearbox replaced, you name it, it is perfect! As the old saying goes – find another one!

HISTORY: You couldn’t ask for a better file, more diligent ownership or more perfect history than we have here. All of the keys are present, the original Alpina Lavalina leather book pack is still with the car, every MOT, receipt and invoice from new, fully stamped service book and even a rare original brochure to go with it.  

 

EQUIPMENT: This wonderfully appointed e39 comes with an individual piped leather interior, with heated sports seats, sports wing mirrors (same as the M5). Being a late facelifted model, the car has lots of top end modern adornments, sat-nav with a recent update, electric steering column, electric rear blind, blinds in the rear windows, even the original BMW mobile phone is still with the car too! A full set of brand-new genuine Alpina floor mats are also included with the car, it even had the Alpina boot mat optioned!
