Description
The Ferrari 599 has for some time been our benchmark for the best value supercar available. We firmly believe that with its exquisite lines, understated looks, incredible performance and Enzo derived engine it truly puts it head and shoulders above the other supercars available for this money.
This particular car has been beautifully spec’d from the factory, with gleaming Nero Daytona paintwork, 20-inch monolithic wheels, yellow brake calipers, carbon fibre driving zone, carbon fibre seats, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fibre steering wheel and a beautiful tan leather interior, which makes a nice change over the usual black or cream. It truly is a special place to be.
Turn the key and the car fires into a beautiful steady idle, smooth and balanced in the way that only Maranello’s finest know how. In standard road driving mode, the comfort on offer is absolutely incredible, it makes a mockery of other GT cars, even to the present day. Balanced, smooth and still devastatingly fast. The feedback from the wheel is akin to that of a thoroughbred racer, but with the calmness of the ride, you have to hold the wheel to believe just how much it talks to you.
In race mode, it is a different beast altogether. Still easy to manage thanks to the incredible chassis and suspension set up, but the feeling from the wheel is then transported all around you, exhaust valves open, the V12 howls and revs relentlessly. All the while, you’ll be sat in what must be some of the most comfortable seats ever fitted to a car, it is quite frankly a masterpiece.
Technical specification
Having come from the factory with a brilliant and well thought out spec, the car presents beautifully throughout. Having all of the right upgrades, carbon everywhere and having been very well looked after, with 5 services in the last few thousand miles, fresh Michelin PS4S tyres all round, it is on the button and ready to be enjoyed.
Having cost nigh on £200k when new, the heavy lifting has already been handled and I firmly believe these cars have hit the bottom of their depreciation curve and are only moments away from being properly loved by the press, as they deserved to be all along.
The clutch and brakes were measured in 2023 and both were barely worn, brakes on 24% and clutch on 21%, so it has many trouble-free miles left for the new custodian to enjoy before they’ll need any TLC.
This particular car came from the factory with the following upgrades and looks just as stunning now, as it would have back then, almost unmarked and resplendent from front to back, supplied with all of its books, original stereo, toolkit etc, every receipt and invoice from the order form up to today’s date, it wants for nothing at all. With this spec and the glorious colour combo, we think it is the best choice on sale in the U.K at this point in time and hope you’ll agree, get in touch to arrange a viewing and a test drive, you will not be disappointed!
